Frequently Asked Questions

Do I talk to "real doctors"?

Yes. HCGOrder patients only talk to doctors who are educated and licensed to practice medicine in the U.S., as well as living in the U.S.

What are some common conditions HCGOrder treats?

HCGOrder is not a primary health care solution. HCGOrder focuses on weight loss, weight management, and a handful of other specific health and wellness programs.

Can HCGOrder handle my emergency situations?

HCGOrder is NOT designed to handle emergent medical problems. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 9-1-1 immediately.

Can I use it for my family?

HCGOrder has determined to only provide care for adults 18 years and older. However, in rare cases and if the doctor approves, minors can receive a base level of nutritional guidance (no prescription medications).

Can I get a prescription?

HCGOrder does not guarantee prescriptions. Medications are commonly prescribed by HCGOrder doctors, but are always subject to doctor approval based on your individual health status and needs. HCGOrder doctors do not issue prescriptions for DEA-controlled substances, non-therapeutic substances, or certain other drugs which may be harmful due to their potential for abuse.

How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?

HCGOrder does not dispense prescription drugs. If the doctor prescribes medication, it is submitted electronically by fax to a specialized pharmacy for fulfillment on your behalf, and then sent directly to your home or office.

Is my electronic health record kept private?

Health records are kept completely private, and we employ robust encryption methods to protect your personal information. You determine who can see the information in your record.

Can I be turned down for a weight loss program?

If a prescription medication is sought, based on your health history and at the doctor’s discretion, he/she may deny your request for specific medication(s).

Can I call HCGOrder outside of the United States?

HCGOrder visits are NOT available outside of the United States.

Will my insurance cover the cost of HCGOrder weight loss programs?

While it is not common for insurance providers to cover the cost of weight loss medication, we do recommend checking with your insurance provider prior to meeting with a HCGOrder weight loss specialist.

How long will it take to receive my medication?

The shipping time varies depending on the current demand, the type of medication, and the state you reside in. During your initial consultation, your HCGOrder weight loss specialist will provide an estimate on delivery time.

If I am given a prescription as a result of my visit, how will I be notified?

You will be notified by the doctor if your prescription is approved. All prescriptions are submitted to the pharmacy as “patient specific” in your name, and then mailed directly to your home or office. If denied medication, you will be verbally notified during the doctor consultation.

Why do I have to fill out additional intake questions?

We require answers to additional intake questions in order to ensure our HCGOrder providers can customize a diet plan for each individual, and in order to achieve the highest rate of success.
